THOMSO 2010  PRESENTS

16 FRAMES- THE INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM FESTIVAL

16 FRAMES, now an established institution in itself, is an All-India competitive-cum-exhibitory short film festival which aims to act as a platform for the budding film makers and animation enthusiasts nationwide to showcase and foster their cinematographic skills through the medium of reel. It is a short film competition to promote amateur film makers/animation makers to exhibit their talent and mettle in the field of direction and aspires to encourage movies that are thought-provoking, visually stimulating, and technically proficient and are framed purely out of a cinemascopic view.
Being light on the pocket and easy to make, Short films are often popular as first steps into the cinematic world among young filmmakers. But at the same time, a short film has the difficulty of conveying a message in a brief period of time while also being visually stimulating. Faced upfront with this challenge at 16 Frames, aspiring movie makers will pit their originals against one another. And when the lights are on bright, the winner will ultimately shine through and  take a step  closer towards ‘pro-ness’  in the world of cinematography  geniuses.
